Working Visa

Foreigners who wish to work in Thailand are required to apply for both a work permit and a visa. Typically, the company sponsoring the visa must meet certain criteria, including having a registered capital of at least THB 2,000,000 and employing four Thai nationals for every foreign employee. However, there are exceptions: for example, a representative office only requires one Thai employee per foreign employee, and companies with BOI (Board of Investment) promotion may not have strict requirements for the number of Thai employees.

The Non-Immigrant “B” Visa can be applied for either by conversion within Thailand or through the Thai embassy in the applicant’s home country.
