The LTR visa is an attractive option for long-term stay in Thailand, offering a maximum duration of up to 10 years. It comes with several benefits, such as tax exemptions, a digital work permit with an exemption for 4 Thai employees, a 1-year reporting requirement instead of the standard 90 days, fast-track service at international airports, and more.
The LTR visa program offers four distinct categories: Wealthy Global Citizens, Wealthy Pensioners, Work- from-Thailand Professionals, and Highly Skilled Professionals. Additionally, spouses and children of LTR visa holders or applicants in any of these categories are eligible to apply for a dependent visa.
1. LTR Wealthy Global Citizen requires the applicant to meet the following criteria:
a. The applicant must have worldwide assets value exceeding USD 1,000,000.
b. The applicant must have invested in Thailand with an amount exceeding USD 500,000.
2. LTR Wealthy Pensioner requires the applicant to meet the following criteria:
a. The applicant must be 50 years old or above.
b. The applicant must have Passive Income exceeding USD 80,000 or USD 40,000 with investment in Thai land exceeding USD 250,000.
3. LTR Work From Thailand Professional requires the applicant to meet the following criteria:
a. The applicant must be working for a well established company which is a listed company in the stock market or private company that its revenue exceeding altogether USD 50,000,000 in the past 3 years.
b. The applicant must have taxable income exceeding USD 80,000 per year in the past 2 years, or USD 40,000 if the applicant has master degree or higher.
4. LTR Highly Skilled Professional requires the applicant to meet the following criteria:
a. The applicant must be working for a company in Thailand that conducts the business in targeted indus tries (such as Automative, Electronics, Luxury Tourism, Agricultural and Biotech, Transportation and Lo gistics, Automation and Robotics, Aviation, Biofuels and Biochemicals, Digital. Medical, Defense, Petro chemical and Chemical and International Business Center according to regulation of BOI’s promotion.)
b. The applicant must have taxable income exceeding USD 80,000 per year in the past 2 years, or USD 40,000 if the applicant has master degree or higher in Sciences and Technology. The applicant who works for Thai government agency is exempted for minimum income rate
